World wetlands day - February 2nd








Let us protect the wetland.
Every year February 2nd we are celebrating the world wetland day. It is an important event conducted by us as human to protect the wet land and the biodiversity belongs to wetland.
Wetlands are protecting the environmental balance of various ecosystems.
Wetlands consist of rivers, lowlands,grasslands, estuaries, wetland, forest, coral reefs, fish ponds, paddy fields and  water tanks.
Wetlands are getting destroyed due to the continuous human activities, tourism, real estate, and various effects of human on wetlands.
Effects on wetlands destroy biodiversity, precipitation, food chain, flow of precipitation water and the bond between the organisms belong to wetlands.
The world wetland conference was held in ramsar at iron in 1971. Mini environmental conservation organisations and wildlife organisations from all over the world were participated in this conference to protect the wetlands.
Wetlands are containing water surfaces. The water found in this environment can be permanent or temporary.
Wetland can be hello land of river a part of sea which is directed to the land. A wet land can be a natural river, stream formed due to flood, mud land, estuaries, lagoons, artificial agricultural projects, dams their service which are produced for production of hydroelectric power and salterns.

Snails, mud crabs, prawns, oyster varieties of fishes, mammals, amphibians, reptiles and birds are found in this environment.

6.4% of the surface of the land is wetland in the world.
 due to supplying chemical waste floods and other human activities wetlands are get polluted and it decrease the speed of the growth of grass varieties bushes and aquatic plants.
